One of the questions we get asked most often is:
“What do you actually use?”
As we’ve traveled across North America, we’ve found products, apps, memberships, and little conveniences that have genuinely made life on the road easier. Some have saved us money. Others have saved us time. And a few have simply made traveling with three energetic boys a little less chaotic.
This page is our growing collection of favorites.
Everything listed here is something we’ve personally used, researched extensively, or truly believe adds value to RV travel and roadschooling.
Transparency matters to us.
Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase—at absolutely no additional cost to you.
We only recommend products we would happily recommend to our own friends and family.

☕ Camp Kitchen Favorites
Life is simply better with coffee.
- Philips 5500 Coffee Maker – in true transparency, we got this off a neighborhood buy nothing page. But 18 months later, I am in love.
- Instant Pot – lots of practical day to day uses, but I’ve also made yogurt in it and it is amazing.
- Ice Maker – let’s face it, RV air conditioning doesn’t keep up
🧻 Little Things We Didn’t Expect to Love
Sometimes the smallest purchases become our favorite ones.
- Our favorite RV toilet paper 😂 Mary’s pick for comfort, Jeff’s pick for not having to pull it out of the drain
- Laundry detergent sheets – who needs a bottle of detergent taking up space. Or better yet, leaking.
- Zip ties – seriously. We use every moving day!
❤️ Health & Wellness
Traveling with chronic illness has taught us that comfort matters.
- Compression leggings – with APS and suspected POTS, these make an amazing difference for me. And they’re great for moving days while I’m sitting in a car.
- Protein powder – I actually prefer the Almond Powder by NAKED, but I use this when it’s out of stock. Non-processed and pure – what I find is important for my lupus.
- Electrolytes – this brand is a little more expensive, but through the research I’ve done, I believe it’s a little more pure than competitors. Plus it’s sugar free.
